ReplyDeleteAbout the cash system - if we know we're going to be buying stuff like shampoo, we usually take money out of both budgets, and just pay for the shampoo etc with the "personal" budget in the same transaction (or pay the grocery fund back out of personal). It's an estimate, but it's worked for us. Friends of ours have a higher grocery budget and no personal budget and say that works well.
