So I have this hobby I told you about before called the "Grocery Game". Well I thought I would tell you what I was able to get this week for really cheap. I'm not going to turn this into a "coupon blog", because there are enough of those out there and frankly I don't have the time or patience to chase after every deal just to get a cheap toothpaste. However, I will tell you occasionally about some of the exciting trips I have like the one from this weekend. Also, if you have any Sunday coupons left over from the paper then you can do it too. If not, it is still cheap with out the coupons!
Okay I went to Walgreens and was able to get all these shampoos/conditioners/stylers for the tax only:
So how did I do this? Well, first, you need to see if you can get any coupons out of the Sunday paper. Then look for the Red Plum insert. There should be two coupons for $1 off a Garnier product. Take those coupons and go to your nearest Walgreens. Then look for (or ask for) a little book called the March Easy Saver Booklet. Inside this booklet there is a coupon for $2 off a Garnier product. You do not need to get multiple coupons out of the Easy Saver Booklet. Just get one out of the booklet and they will multiply it by the number of products you buy. For example, I bought 12 products so the one Easy Saver coupon took off $24. So the shampoos, conditioners, and stylers that are priced $2.99 will now be FREE combined with the Garnier coupon out of the Red Plum insert :)
Now, I buy a couple of papers every week and there were some of these coupons from older papers. That is how I had 12 Garnier coupons from the Red Plum insert. However, even if you only have a couple of these or even none these items would still be only $1. I think that is a pretty good deal!
Let me know if you do this and how it works :)

hey; thanks for stopping by and giving me some blog love! Gotta love some blog love! I got the apothecary jars at Michaels! I printed off 40% off coupons off the internet and used one for each jar! It ended up being $30 total. I bought three, but my son broke the biggest one. wah, wah.
ReplyDeleteThats a great tip. I wish I could find more coupon blogs...where are they? Then again, I wish the sunday paper in San Diego had coupons. I have no idea what day has the inserts but it is not sunday, so I rarely get to find what I need. Still, I keep trying.
ReplyDeleteMy fav coupon blog is Money Saving Mom. I think if you just google that it should bring up her blog. I like it because instead of giving a giant run-down of every deal under the sun, it really highlights the best ones.
ReplyDeleteAs far as the coupon thing...that stinks! You may want to check another local paper (if you have one) because sometimes they are in some and not others. Also, I'll try to post some deals using internet printables as opposed to the ones in the paper. Thanks for reading and nice to "meet you" :)
