Menu Plan 6/8 - 6/13

I am happy to report that the block party I planned was a success on Saturday!!  We managed to avoid most of the rain and had a great time.  I made cake flower pops which were a hit with the little ones. Ummm....however, I completely forgot to take a picture. Yesterday I was a lazy couch potato. I think the only thing I did was go grocery shopping :)

This week's menu is really kind of boring now that I look at it.  Could I have any more chicken? I am, however, making a broccoli casserole tonight that is fantastic!!  So definitely check back for that tomorrow. Okay here is the week ahead:

Monday:  Flank Steak and Broccoli Casserole, which I will post tomorrow

Tuesday:  Lucy's Chicken and Rice Casserole and a salad

I am so excited for this casserole!  I have a secret love of mushroom soup ;)

Wednesday:  Baked Chicken with asparagus and homemade mashed potatoes

Thursday:  LO Chicken and Rice Casserole

Friday:  Chicken Caesar Salad with Homemade Dressing using leftover chicken from Wed.

Saturday:  OUT!!

Have a great week!!

  2. Hi Ashley,
To answer your question, I have been very pleased with the D2D Organics so far. I have never justified the cost of organic produce before, but being pregnant and with a little one already, I am wanting us to be more conscientious. From what I understand, it is always organic, and locally organic when possible. But some of our stuff does comes from California and Mexico (less, now that it is summer here, though). The customer service is great. And everything about managing your order can be done online which is so easy. I would say the quality is good, not oh my goodness amazing, but I am satisfied with it and plan to keep it up at least through the summer. For me it is fun to get the emails on Monday to know what we are getting on Friday and try to plan out our meals around that for the next week. It simplifies my grocery list as well. If you try it, let me know what you think!

  6. No pictures of the cake pops?! grrr. Glad it went well! I got my Photoshop Elements 2 in the mail today, and apparently you already have to have a photoshop software to run the Elements 2. I'm so mad! That's what I get for not paying more attention when I buy something. although, it was my husband that found it! haha.
